At the doors of Agrabah there are guards watching the caravans that are entering with a lot of gifts and jewels. But in the horizon we see a caravan of camels guided by a man with a veiled face. In the baskets are 39 men hidden.
The Genie, in disguise, asks the guard what’s happening.
Genie
as an old man Ooo, in all my years never have I seen the streets so full of bustle and hustle and assorted commotion.
Rasoul
Our princess is to wed.
Genie
Ooo, wonderful! And who’s the lucky prince?
Rasoul
Not a prince at all! Just a no-account street-rat!
Genie
Genie appears as himself, discovering his trick. Using his magic puts Aladdin’s name as an advertisement No way! Try it phonetically. It’s Aladdin! Ah, some of you don’t believe.
Genie
as Tinkerbell In color, ah, ah.
There’s a party here in Agrabah
There’s excitement in the air
People pouring in
From near and far
‘cause Jasmine and Aladdin
Are gonna have a weddin’
There’s a party here in Agrabah
Everybody will be there
So if you’re a pauper or a shah
Do somethin’ with your hair
You mustn’t wear
An outfit that’s naughty
A turban that’s unraveling
Just won’t do
No earrings
That are tasteless or gaudy
You’re gonna look gorgeous
When I get through
There’s a party here in Agrabah
So I’m going to paint the town
If you want to see
What colours are
Follow me around
Chorus
Aladdin’s getting’ married
And it’s gonna be
The wedding of the century
Genie
My buddy’s getting’ married
And you’re gonna see
Just how much I can do
You’ve heard of your safari bar mitzraha
Wow
You’ve all been to a ludu sweet 16
Ahh!
Well, none of them compare
To what this is
The food’ll be disgusting
By evening you’ll be busting
Chorus
There’s a party here in Agrabah
And it’s got us all aglow
If a street rat
Could’ve come so far
Maybe I could do it
Sure, there’s nothing to it.
Woman
There’s a party here in Agrabah
But we’re not sure that we’ll go
For although the bride
Is la-di-dah
The groom is awfully low Oooh
Genie
as a reporter And now we take you down to the Palace where everyone has celebrated all night long.
Without Jafar and all of his malice
Everybody’s happy
Genie
What could possibly go wrong?
Thieves
There’s a party here in Agrabah
And we’re gonna rob 'em blind
While they’re all munching caviar
Create a small disturbance.
I’ll sneak up from behind.
Iago
There’s a party here in Agrabah
And the loot is pourin’ in
I like this wedding stuff so far
Maybe If I’m pleasant
I’ll get to keep a present
Genie
We’ve ordered just a few tasteful flowers
And valets who’ll carefully park for you
The bridesmaids have been dressing for hours
Girls you look just lovely
And so grown up too
There’s a party here in Agrabah
Guest are filling up the room
But there’s something missing
Yes aha
Sultan
Where is the groom?
Aladdin is in his old home, where he’s opening a box, which he has been keeping a dagger. It was his father’s and he wants to wear it at his wedding.
Genie
Hello! Somebody’s gonna be late for his own wedding!
Aladdin
Hold on, Genie. There’s something I need.

Aladdin

Genie
Your father? You never said a word about your father. Oh, I’ve gotta let the caterer know! Chicken or sea bass?
Aladdin
He’s not coming to the wedding. He died a long time ago.
Genie
Sorry.
Aladdin
That’s okay. I never knew him. Maybe if I did I’d feel ready for this.
Genie
Al, are you getting cold feet?
Aladdin
sighs No Genie. It’s just that… I’ve always been a street rat. Stealin’ what I need to survive. Runnin’ from the guards.
Abu
chittering Uh, uh.
Aladdin
sighs Livin’ my life alone
Abu
sadly Ooh.
Aladdin
I’m takin’ a big step today… into a new world.
Genie
as a psychiatry Today’s topic: “Fears of the future family man”. Al from Agrabah, share with us.
Aladdin
I never had a father to show me how to raise a family.
Genie
No role model. Get a little deeper.
Aladdin
What do I know about families? Genie, what if I’m not good at it? sighs If my father were here…
Genie
Al, little buddy, if your father were here he’d be as proud of you as I am.
Aladdin
I just wish he would see this.
There’s a party here in Agrabah
And the party’s all for me
Just look you guys at where we are
And how our dreams
Have come to be
Jasmine
There’s a party here in Agrabah
And I can’t believe it’s true
After all this waiting
Here we are
We’ll finally get to say I do
Aladdin
I never ever had a real family
Jasmine
I never ever had a real true friend
Jasmine & Aladdin
Someone who could just understand me
Genie
Hey, come on, Aladdin! This mush has gotta end!
There’s a party here in Agrabah
And it’s starting right away
Let’s get ya dressed
‘cause you’re the star

And it’s gonna be
The wedding of the century
Amazing how Aladdin
Could’ve come do far

There’s a party here in Agrabah!
The mysterious caravan is inside the city. Suddenly, one of the baskets is broken, appearing a sinister man who has a hand with three golden claws. His name is Sa’luk, the cruelest of the thieves.
Sa'luk
Why do you walk in the open while I suffocate like an animal?
Cassim
Someone has to keep a cool head, Sa’luk.
Sa'luk
Someone will have no head if this is another wild goose chase.
Cassim
The Oracle is the real thing. This time I’m sure.
Genie
as a TV reporter Hello and welcome to Lifestyles of the Rich and Magical. That’s right. We’re taking you to the marriage of the millennium! And who’s this coming on the lovely stretch camel? Some of the guest are so real: Caesar, Cleopatra, Moses -again is the Genie in disguise-, and others unreal as Osiris, Thor… Oh, it’s Cleopatra and Caesar and they’re bringing a salad. How wonderful! Oh, look, there’s Osiris. Oh, Osiris! Osiris could we have a word with you? Osiris squawks Oh no, the crowd is parting. Who’s coming? It’s Moses! And your name is?
Genie
as Thor I’m Thor.
Genie
as a TV reporter You’re Thor?
Genie
as Thor Well, it hurts.
Genie
as a TV reporter Once again this whole broadcast has been brought to you by: “Sand” it’s everywhere! Get used to it.
In the palace, Iago is keeping safe the loot, and he’s so happy touching those jewels.
Abu
chittering Come on, come on.
Iago
I can see fine from back here.
Abu

Iago
Look, there’s one thing I get sentimental about and I’m sitting on it.
Abu
Huh?
Iago
The loot, monkey, the loot!
Aladdin has just arrived in front of the nuptial pavilion, waiting for the bride. Genie has some more little problems he wants to discuss with the groom. He has not seen the guests who are waiting in the same hall.
Genie
Bad news Al. The boutonnieres clash with the cummerbunds.
Aladdin
Genie, isn’t it a little late for that?
Genie
What? What are you trying to say? Out with it! Wha- what… chuckles They’re here. Oh, no… ho-ho! as Alice’s white rabbit I’m late, I’m late for a very important date.
Meanwhile, in the palace, the Genie announces the beginning of the ceremony. First the Sultan appears, receiving the applause of the guests.
Guests
Your Majesty
Your Highness
Sultan
to Aladdin Don’t look so solemn boy. This is a happy day.
Genie
Oh, look. It’s a Kodiak moment. Put that bear outta here.
Sultan
Oh!
With his magic, the Genie puts a carpet with the help of some pigeons. It’s the nuptial carpet for the bride. When Jasmine enters she looks beautiful.
Aladdin
Wow!
Genie
Oh, yeah!
Sultan
I never thought this day would come. Now I’m afraid that it has come all too soon.
Jasmine
Oh, father they hug
