Dumbo, Disney's 4th feature film, came to the screen on October 23,1941.
The stork delivers a baby elephant to Mrs Jumbo, veteran of the circus.
but the newborn is ridiculed because of his truly enormous ears and dubbed
"Dumbo". Befriended by Timothy the circus
mouse, the dejected little elephant tries to find his niche with circus clowns--- an
attempt which ends in disaster. Finally, Dumbo soars to acceptance when he discovers
that his ears are aerodynamic--- Dumbo is a flying elephant!
